Making a date to help at Wind Tree

Hi Faes I'm interested in nailing down a date to go help Elena clean up. I've got a similar number of available folks for this coming Saturday the 14th and for the following Saturday the 21st. Any other takers? I'll call Elena with our available date when I have, say, at least 5 people who can make it. Just let me know your best weekend dates this month. Here are my SC Pride pics. Wind Tree needs us

Hi Faes, I visited Wind Tree on Saturday before Pride. I took my camera to document the current state of things. The situation is shocking, yet hopeful. Most of Elena's buildings were saved, Blessed be! http://gallery.mac.com/crossgrove#100060&view=grid&bgcolor=black&sel=9 Elena is understandably in need of support, both physical and emotional. I'd like to find a date in June that a group of us can go up to Wind Tree and make ourselves available to Elena to help in any way she needs: re-establishing paths, cutting wood, clearing debris. We can stay there overnight if we like and continue working the next day, or depart as available. If you are free for one or 2 workdays on a weekend this month, please reply and we'll plan to carpool and meet at Wind Tree that day. When we have a date, Elena can let us know what to bring. Most likely we will get very dirty. Whatever it takes!

Wildfires in the vicinity of Wind Tree

Connell alerted me to the wildfires sweeping the Summit Road area. Obviously I'm concerned about my property, but the fires aren't in that area right now. I'm more worried about Elena and Wind Tree. Has anyone contacted her? Any specific reports? If anyone has any additional info about the status of the fires, please let me know, and maybe also post to the group. Carl

A gracious hello to all of the lovely faeries I met in New Orleans for the NOLA/SC gatherette, and thank you for your welcoming energy and generosity of spirit! The event last week was my first chance to spend time with the faeries and I must say I am blown away!

Does anyone want to exchange stories or photos from the gatherette? Im also dreaming up some sort of followup meeting. Anyone want to dream with me?
