Change emailing to make it easier

Hey Faeries,

We are discussing moving our email communication to a yahoo group or a google group to make it easier.  That way you can send an email out without having to navigate through a website.  It would be similar to our old list serve but through yahoo for instance.  Would anyone be willing to be the administrator of the account?  This would mean getting an email from new people who would want to join.  Please put an email out to the group if you are interested or if you have any thoughts about this.

Howdy-

I've had a Yahoo Group for my radio show for a couple years and a couple blogs over at Google's Blogger for about a year. I haven't had much a problem with spam or inappropriate postings. The SC volleyballers have used Yahoo for a long time too.

They're easy to use for allowing people to post photos, etc... (Even a dumb gurly fag could do it) They can be made so members can only see certain sections and post, but I think postings are public to read?

I don't have much experience with a list serv per say, but willing to admin for awhile once one might be setup.

Hi All,

The Diversity Center can host a Rad Fae list serve without going though Yahoo or Google if we prefer. It would be much like the old system (prior to the website). Someone would have to be responsibile for managing the list, mostly helping people get on or off the list. I'm willing to do that for a month or two, but not beyond that.

The e-mail address for the list would be something like feysc@diversitycenter.org. If I can get the current membership list from kwai, I can add everyone very easily.

Our web host is cruzio. We have several list serves, and I've never had any trouble with them.

Once a decision is made, just let me know.
