Wind Tree assistance party, Part 2

Hi Dears, I've had another conversation with Elena and things at WindTree are progressing. New plans include a cob structure for a common work area, and a veggie garden. It's delightful that Elena is moving forward with transformative steps. We can help! The thing that sounds most helpful for us to do at this stage is to go up in early September, to help dig and prepare the slope between the lodge and the circle for a new garden. This will involve digging, stump pulling and other dirty activities. Let's get filthy and make way for kale and strawberries!   There will also be a demonstration/work party for the new cob structure. One weekend will be foundation rock work, and the other will be the construction of the cob. These weekends are coming up soon. If this is of interest to anyone, you may wish to sign up with Elena, since our participation in this event won't really be assisting her (it is more for the benefit of her neighbors who lost so much, and who need help getting basic infrastructure in place).  But it's an interesting topic and a nice opportunity to learn some green building techniques first hand.  Once again, will you please get in touch with me about your availability in the first 3 weeks of September? I still have to find out the dates for the cob building workshop, but I think we can safely plan for early September without a conflict.   Blessings abound! Carl
