Farmer John Update: Surgery 16 Jan

Hello all.  First off, John wanted me to thank everyone who has sent their good wishes along.  He's grateful for all the support and love that have been sent his way.

Having conquered high winds and rain and mud on the drive up from the farm, John had an appointment with his neurosurgeon at UCSF today.  After some discussion and evaluation, his surgery has been scheduled for Wednesday January 16.  He will be in the hospital a few days before and a few days after for preparation and recovery respectively.

John and Rogelio are staying the night with my wife and me in Berkeley tonight, along with his brother Gordon and niece Lou.  Tomorrow John & Rogelio will head back home to await the surgery.

All continue in good spirits despite the rainy day, and we again thank everyone who has called and written with support.
